Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats

This course meets the requirements laid down in Regulation VI/2 paragraph 1, section A-VI/2 paragraph 1 to 4 and Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW Convention and Code as amended in 1978.

  • Ship emergency situation.
  • Use of open lifeboats, totally enclosed lifeboats, rescue boats and davit launched life rafts.
  • Rigging and use of life-saving appliances, including electronic aids.
  • Search and rescue organization and procedures.
  • Recovery of personnel from the water.
  • Above Training involves theoretical topics.
